Why You Should Have a Boundary Mark on Your Land

Many people want to know their boundaries when they are buying land. This has become very critical in these times where land grabbing and trespass are common. People are conscious of boundaries in the fear of encroachers on their land and this is a natural instinct which people are born with.

The physical boundary may be a fence (barbed wire or ruyenje), wall or a hedge, mark stones among others and it follows the line of the legal boundary. At amity all our boundaries of plots are pre-surveyed and marked by our surveyors.

We always advise that after buying you should fence off and the decision to have live fence or wall, hedge or chain link is upon the client!

It’s important that when you buy any piece of land be it small or big in any area, you have to fence it and avoid trespassers, intruders and keep unwanted animals from encroaching on it.

Fencing is also important in demarcating boundaries and without it, it’s too hard to know where your property lines are.

Installing fences will help to define the correct boundaries between your neighbour’s land and your own. Although you may be good friends with your neighbours now, this might not always be the case, and often unmarked property lines can play a part in causing neighbourly disputes. Fences are the perfect way to prevent this.
